CarolinaEast Health System chooses PatientWorks for Electronic Signature Capture

CarolinaEast Health System chose PatientWorks eForms Automation Solution to automate the capture of patient photos and electronic signatures on consents, integrating all to their Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

PatientWorks will integrate with the Hospital’s Health Information System (QuadraMed), electronically presenting all consents requiring a signature and capturing the patient’s signature on various devices. The patient photo will also be captured and displayed on the consents and armband to increase patient safety and identification. PatientWorks will also electronically integrate the consents and photo to the Hospital’s EMR system, auto associating to the patient record.

CarolinaEast Medical Center, located in picturesque New Bern, North Carolina, is at the heart of the CarolinaEast Health System. The 350 bed, full service facility houses a full compliment of inpatient and outpatient services. UNC Health Care chooses PatientWorks as their eForms automation vendor.

UNC Health Care (Chapel Hill, NC) chose PatientWorks eForms Automation Solution to eliminate pre-printed registration and clinical documentation enterprise wide while automating workflows and increasing patient identification and safety.

PatientWorks will integrate with the Hospital’s Health Information System (Siemens Invision) automating registration and clinical documentation enterprise wide while also producing bar-coded armbands to be used with bedside scanning solutions. UNC Health Care will also utilize PatientWorks to capture the patient’s electronic signature on consents. PatientWorks will electronically integrate all forms, consents and photo to the Hospital’s EDM, Siemens Enterprise Document Management Solution, and auto associating documentation to the patient record.
